There are several procedures and processes I go through when making your made to measure outfit. Stage 1 is agreeing the design, fabric, price, fitting date, collection date and taking your measurements, which is done in person or remotely. Stage 2 I will cut and begin constructing the outfit Stage 3 is the fitting. A typical fitting takes 15 to 30mins although I always factor 1 hour. A fitting is vital as its an oportunity for the client and i to see how well the garment fits and if any alterations have to be carried out before the client can take the garment away with them. Some garments such as suits and wedding dresses may need 2 or 3 fittings, but most outfits only need 1 fitting seassion. When an outfit such as the one in the photo doesnt need too much work and if we both have time. I will finish the outfit durring the appointment and the client can take it away with them that day. Slow fashion is all the rage these days and it's no wonder. The world is drowning under fast fashion waste and we in the UK are the largest consumer of fast fashion in Europe. When i was growing up 4 decades ago my parents shared a wardrobe and their shoes fit at the bottom.  Mum also had a trunk of African cloths and that was it in terms of their clothes and it was the same story in all the homes of our family and friends.
